I have traveled for work for six years and tried pad Thai everywhere I go I’m very picky and am my opinion 80% of pad Thai is not great to say the least. After working in Tampa on an off for a couple years I can say this is the best pad I have found in the area. I’m sure there are others that can hang but in my opinion when it comes to pad Thai is doesn’t get much better .

Delivery Order (UberEats) Love the fact they have an option for Brown Rice although its the same Chinese restaurant type Brown Rice all the others have. Still a nice Touch. The Paid Thai - Ordered it Spicy. Was not too spicy. Taste was on point. Was delicious actually. My only complaint was the lack of Chicken and lack of Vegetables. Taste wise, one of the best in the area. Would prefer a side of Thai Hot Pepper Seeds with it. Should of asked. Very Tasty Noodles also. Pineapple Curry (Chicken) - Ordered Medium, was too spicy for my wife (She's a light weight) but she LOVED it. Amazing (Beef) - Ordered Mild. Was VERY VERY VERY Peanuty. My wife thought a bit too much so. I rather enjoyed it. Dumplings - Different. Small Portion. Tasty Dipping Sauce that was better then Traditional Chinese Style Side Sauce. The Dumpling was VERY Tasty but VERY Small. Portion Size was underwellming. Volcano Meatballs - NO. These didn't taste very good to me. All in all, there are not a lot of good Thai options north of Tampa. This one was pretty good and will be our Uber Eats Thai go to for now.

My wife and I went to the Thai Cafe about two months ago, and we had the Pad Thai and it was excellent. It was on a Saturday evening, the waitress was so nice, and the food and atmosphere was great. Much better than the previous owner. So we thought, great, we won't have to travel to Tampa to get great Thai food. Well, we decided to stop by again on a Wednesday evening. It was completely different. There were two women from the children's Gym next door, and they were talking so loudly you couldn't hear the music playing in the background. They were talking about the other parents and how they were idiots and making other very derogatory comments. They weren't eating any food, just drinking lemon water, and the manner in which they were acting, you could tell this was a regular place to hang out for them. I asked the waitress if we could move our table a little further away, and she did. Her name was Apple. A few minutes later, 5 children from the Gym came in, and began to run around the table, laughing and playing. They sat down after the other two ladies said something to them, and they began playing on a mobile game console and laughing and playing, at the table next to us. Now understand, I have no issue with kids playing and laughing, but inside of a restaurant, when you are trying to eat, and have a moment of peace and quiet to enjoy your dinner, is not the place. I did now want to cause any issue, so I just kept my mouth shut. There were only two other people in the restaurant. Another lady waiting to be served like we were and a person waiting to pick up an order. There was so much noise that the other lady finally just got up from her table and left, without getting her food. She had had enough. We were almost at that point, when Apple brought our food to the table. I had ordered the Amazing Duck, and my wife ordered something with chicken in it. I am so glad that we took the time to talk about the food before we began eating, and my wife just started to put a piece of chicken in her mouth when she let out a little scream. I don't know what kind of insect or bug it is, but you can clearly see it in the picture. This is either a palmetto bug, or a large wasp, but it was under the first piece of chicken that my wife picked up to eat. I called Apple over and showed it to her, and said I want to talk to your cook. She apologized, and took it out to show to the cook, and she came back out and asked if we could wait another 15 minutes for them to recook the order. I looked at her and said, "why cant the cook bother to at least come out here and apologize for making this crap"? And she said, they were too busy to come out. So, I stood up, took my wife by the hand and walked out. I understand that when you are busy, you can make a mistake, but we were the only order he was preparing. NO ONE else was ordering any food! Now you take a look at the size of that insect and tell me, how could you possibly miss that when you are cooking someone's food. And then on top of that, you can't be bothered to come out and apologize for your actions. I know that they will never get a second chance to cook anything for me or my wife, and if you have read this far, then I would suggest you find another place for your Thai food.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Silk & Spice Cafe, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience. The modern Thai ambiance, combined with the warm hospitality, made for a delightful evening.Food Highlights:Yum Woonsen (Glass Noodle Salad): This dish was a refreshing blend of textures and flavors. The glass noodles were perfectly cooked, and the salad was bursting with fresh herbs and a zesty lime dressing. It was a great start to the meal, light yet flavorful.Calamari: The calamari at Silk & Spice was outstanding. Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, it was served with a delicious dipping sauce that complemented the dish perfectly. The seasoning was just right, making it one of the best calamari dishes I've had.Tom Yum Soup: The Tom Yum was the star of the meal. Rich and flavorful, with a perfect balance of spicy and sour, it was packed with fresh shrimp and mushrooms. The broth was deeply aromatic, and every spoonful was a burst of authentic Thai flavors.Overall, my experience at Silk & Spice Cafe was fantastic. The quality of the food, combined with the inviting atmosphere and excellent service, makes it a must-visit for anyone who loves Thai cuisine. Highly recommended!

I ordered 5 Thai Basil spicy fried rice & 2 Thai Basil mild fried rice but was given 7 Thai Basil Stir Fries. Instead of doing the right thing Bruno (employee who rang up my order) argued with me that I ordered the wrong thing and would not take the food back. I had to pay for 7 new orders of fried rice. I asked to speak to the manager but was told the manager is not at the restaurant. I’ve spent a lot of money at this restaurant over the last couple years and will NEVER spend another dollar because of how Bruno handled this easy to fix situation. I would not recommend this establishment to anyone based on their inability to do the right thing!
