This is a great little find downtown New Port Richey. Quaint bar and grill with an old world feel. Feels like you're sitting by the fireside. We started with the spinich artichoke dip which was good but not grand. We next presented with the most flavourful French onion soup covered with cheese. Wife had the pear pasta which had an unusual sweet taste. I dove into the Chipotle Shrimp. Very flavourful. Definite repeat.

I feel ashamed that I haven't dined here before. Actually I recall hanging out here back in the day when it was a hardware store. As for the service and food, our server was very polite and able to assist us with our selections. Our food as shown in the pictures was amazing. I can't wait to return and try the cheese steak sandwich that many reviews say is yummy. Now this is in our top 5 places to eat.

Well this place was interesting. First the steak bites were pretty ridiculous! Tiny bites of unseasoned steak. Tender and lacking in flavor with sliced garlic bread. The bread was delicious when dipping into the delicious French onion soup which was the saving Grace

My husband and I had dinner here last night. We've heard from a few of our community members about their $5 happy hour apps and decided to give em a try. My only disappointment is that we waited so long to do so. We ordered the mini meatballs that come with garlic cheesy bread and Fiocchetti in balsamic fig glaze for our apps and the Sangria and Island Breeze for drinks. (the Sangria was a little too watered down but not surprising for $3) Then my husband and I shared their New York strip steak with mashed potatoes and gravy and we added a cup of the french onion soup for just $3 more. We were too full for dessert lol but had plenty for 2nd dinner later that night. Everything was very good. I loved the fiocchetti but I'm huge on pasta. The steak did need to be seasoned but that seems to be a common thing here in Florida with the lack of cooking with salt. We like to think the restaurants do this on purpose so that they don't over salt in case someone is salt sensitive ( we do live in a state with lots of retirees ). The service was friendly and with a smile. Our waitress Marie (might have been Maria) was very sweet, gave good recommendations, and checked in on us several times. The food was out pretty fast, hot and cooked well. The place was clean and had a good atmosphere. When you walk through the front door it has a laidback small bar vibe. The host informed us we could sit any where we'd like, bar, dinning area or patio out back. We will definitely be going back. And soon I hope.

I have been eating here since 1997 !!! This is the best restaurant in Pasco County and hands down the best French Onion Soup on the planet!!! Don't take my word for it. Find out for yourself. Trust me, after your first meal, you will be back many more times.
