I have been coming to Bonsai for years and have never been let down, and tonight finally made me write a review.
The effort that John (sushi man in the hat) puts into each roll is incredible, he has a real talent and creativity with the way he creates an order. I have asked for the "Chef Special" a few times throughout the years and each time it is perfect and somehow better than the last. The presentation is beautiful, the flavor is incredible, and it shows a lot of pride taken in his work. Even when there's a rush, he takes the time to make a unique roll that I have never had before. The quality in each piece is outstanding.
Alyssa is the best server. Attentive, detail-driven, friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable of the menu and different sushi combinations. Always a delight!
The crew here is wonderful and each new hire is a joy.

The service is exceptional, thanks to the attentive staff, Alisa and Jason. They go above and beyond to ensure that your needs are met, making you feel valued and taken care of throughout your meal. It's refreshing to dine at a place where you don't feel rushed, even if you arrive close to closing time.
The menu is a delight, featuring a variety of sushi rolls that cater to every palate. My personal favorite is the Sexy Wallace Roll, which is a must-try! The flavors are vibrant and beautifully crafted, making it a standout dish.
Overall, I highly recommend Bonsai Sushi for anyone looking for a delightful dining experience with fantastic food and a welcoming atmosphere. You won't be disappointed!

"Honestly, the service was great and very cordial. Being my first time here, we ordered a variety of 8 sushi rolls to go. Unfortunately, the rolls were a bit mushy with a strong vinegar taste, and the temperature was cold, like they had been stored in the fridge. On the other hand, the presentation and portion sizes were good. Perhaps it was just an off day for the chefs

My favorite sushi restaurant hands down. Miss Jung (the owner) is always so cordial and inviting, she always remembers me! The chefs are meticulous with the preparation and I have never been disappointed in over 10 years. The food is beautifully plated and only the freshest quality seafood is used. This hidden treasure is not to be missed!!

Do not be discouraged by the outside or limited parking out front, as this is one of the best sushi places in the Wesley Chapel area! The service is amazing and the food quality is so fresh! I always look for a sushi roll with Mango and they did not disappoint! Prices are very reasonable. Grab yourself a glass of plum wine and have some of the most perfectly crafted sushi around!
