We love the Creole and Southern food our family members picked up passing through Louisiana and stepping off the boat right on the dock in Galveston. And we love the Western food that’s just part of being in Texas.
Food, you see, isn’t only about food. It’s not some big secret. It’s something that just happens when all of our interconnected families get together-the Carrabbas and the Mandolas, plus anybody with enough good sense to marry in. You may be poor, went the saying a mere generation ago, but you’ll never be hungry.
Food is part of us because that’s how we were raised; food was present at births, christenings, weddings, graduations, and funerals. Food is what reminded us we were family. To this day, whenever one family member meets another and starts talking about something or someplace, the first question has to be, “Whadya eat?”
We went for wine night, what a great time we had. Service was outstanding, the food was exceptional the atmosphere was filled with ambience. Jessie was our server she went above and beyond. All the servers were friendly.
BayLee did an absolutely fantastic job. Great service and great server! Very friendly and very helpful and suggested certain items on the menu. Very accommodating when we had a couple of special requests. She is an asset to Carrabba’s and should be given a raise! Food was absolutely fantastic. Got the shrimp and scallop linguine à la vodka. Also got the Conundrum red wine! You can’t go wrong with this! Very smooth, silky taste, especially pares well with the pasta. Also got two smoked old-fashioned that were complementary to the appetizers of the meatballs and ricotta. Those are to die for!
We’ve had food delivered and taken to go before but never eaten inside until last night. What a wonderful experience! We had a party of 20+ for an anniversary dinner. Not only was the food an instant 10/10 but our servers truly made our experience at Carrabba’s full stars across the board. Our main servers were Baylee and Jessi. Baylee attended to most of the other few tables, but she was truly very helpful and kind, and I heard from friends nothing but great things. Jessi was attentive and was truly charismatic, easily fitting right in and connecting with our party, making this by far one of our best dinning experience in awhile. We especially appreciated her attentiveness to the fact we had small children with us, and she was very honed in on also connecting with the kids. Her personal touch made me want to come back just to feel the Carrabba’s familial connection again. Thank you so much to Carrabba’s and it’s workers for making us feel personally drawn in, and we will be returning again.
Had an amazing dinner here today. Our server, Nick, was phenomenal—attentive, friendly, and full of spot-on recommendations that made our night truly special. Huge kudos to Nick for his outstanding service and warm energy! The food was absolutely delicious, every dish bursting with flavor. Cozy vibe, top-notch experience, and unforgettable tastes. Can’t wait to return! Highly recommend!
