We ordered the macaroni salad, musubi, teriyaki beef, and sunshine chicken. Everything was tiny portions and flavor was lacking from the big island taste we are used to. Only 1 musubi for almost $7?! We were expecting at least 2! Sunshine chicken tasted heavily of beer flavor and and pretty sure was just one thigh - provided photo of container size for reference. Macaroni salad didn’t taste like it was made with Duke’s mayo. $40 for 4 small items was not worth the price. Will not be ordering here again.

This was so delicious! We found Palani's on google after we were curious if any local Hawaiian food places existed on this side of the bay, and were so excited to see this place.
We got the Saimin noodles, Sunshine Chicken, and a Hawaiian Sun - Strawberry Lilikoi. The noodles were delicious, and the sunshine chicken with the Laoganma Spicy Chili Crisp was amazing. They even came out and offered us some shaved ice afterwards which was so kind. Worth the drive, worth the money, and we will be going back again soon.
Edit: we’ve gone back here probably 4-5 times now? We’ve honestly just decided to get the saimin every time. It’s genuinely just that good. We haven’t had a bad experience yet! :) the restaurant could use more seating but we’ve always been able to figure it out for lunch time. Still suggest!!

The Hawaiian owner was playing the ukelele. The lady was very friendly. We felt welcome and well served.

Great plate lunch! Meat was soo tender and flavorful. Great spot at the Krates for a day out. Highly recommend the ribs.

Popped in real quick for a spam musubi which left me really disappointed. The ratio was off, a very thin slice of spam but a ton of rice. The rice also had a consistency more along the lines of congee (soggy) than grains (firm). I ended up taking out like 50% of the rice but I still felt like it was ok..
It was also $5.15 for one spam musubi. The Hawaiian place I go to in Seminole is only $3. I’ll come back and try the shaved iced but I’m definitely skipping out on the musubi next time.
