Service was very slow even though there weren’t a lot of customers. I overheard the waitress saying that they were backed up on DoorDash orders, hence why service was slow in the actual restaurant. It took 10 minutes just for the waitress to come over and give us menus and to take our drink orders. Afterwards, it took about 45 minutes for our food to arrive. My mom ordered a patty melt which turned out just to be a plain dried up burger on ungrilled bread. The waitress had to come over after mom already ordered to tell her that they were out of onion rings. Lion ordered a Route 66 burger on a lettuce wrap, however it came on a bun and had a mushy jalapeño popper that looked like it came out of a microwave. I ordered a mushroom Swiss burger which was okay. For a Route 66 themed restaurant, we were a bit underwhelmed.

Food is good and large sized. A medium order of fries will serve 2 hungry people easily. The burger is large. The food is worth going for but I had a bad service experience. The place is small but only has one server and they can get distracted and ignore the tables. If it looks busy, I would go elsewhere but if not crowded then you might want to give a try. Service appears to be a hit or miss. For me it was a miss 😢.

I decided to take myself and my daughters to Route 66 after seeing their story in the news (about a potential shutdown if more traffic doesn't start coming through), well..... we loved it! It's a cute, 1950's themed diner. Small, but nice. 50's music playing, lots of pictures on the wall of car shows, etc. Old diner style, which we loved. We went around 2:30, hoping that it wouldn't be crowded as I read there was limited seating. (There are 4 small booths that sit 4 people comfortably and I believe 4 high top tables that seat 2 and some bar style seating. They also have picnic tables outside. When we got there all tables were taken but someone was just leaving so we were lucky. We were given menus quickly and also drinks right away. We ordered. The only part that was not so good (we didn't mind but I know some people freak about wait times) was our food didn't come out for quite some time, at least 40 minutes. I did not care as I was with my daughters and not in a rush. There was another set of patrons (4) there and one did get up to ask where there food was. It was busy so I understood. For me it was not an issue at all. The food came out and was hot and delicious. It was really, really good. We all got the burgers and fries, my one daughter made it a double burger. That thing was HUGE! It was served with a large side of fries. They were perfect. Hot and crispy with just the right amount of salt. The burgers were cooked perfectly and had great flavor. The food was so hot, we had to let it sit to cool off. My daughters also got milkshakes. They are milkshake snobs and they LOVED these! This was an all around great place. We will definitely go back. My daughter said as we were leaving that she definitely wanted to come back.
The menu was rather small. Mostly different burgers, and sandwiches, wings and salads, but I love that so I can't complain. All in all I definitely recommend this place! Give it a try! The waiting staff was very nice as well and we were taken care of well.
For the record as it slowed down, food for other patrons came out much more quickly than ours did, so I'm assuming it was a bit slower than normal for us at that time. And there is also a sign on the front door that food may take longer to come out, so you are forewarned before entering. Go out and get yourself some great burgers and shakes! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is a great old diner, style burger place. Stopped while on the road for work with a coworker. We both got burgers. She got a mushroom burger and I got a bacon cheeseburger. Both were amazing. The french fries were incredibly crispy and good. I would highly recommend stopping here if you’re in the area

How many times have you driven by this place and wondered should I stop??? WELL HIT THE BRAKES !!! This place was incredible, we spent the morning at Sun West Park and was thinking about lunch. Well we decided to give Big Fred's a try, well we are very sorry we waited so long to do so. When you walk in you are stepping back in time way back, this place is True Americana from days gone by. You are greeted by super friendly people that serve up fantastic food and service, great menu with lots of options AND GIANT PROPORTIONS!!! Our server Lisa never missed a beat and really did a great job, my Patty Melt was delicious and my wife's Bacon Cheese Burgers was huge and so were the fries and perfect!!!!
