We love the Creole and Southern food our family members picked up passing through Louisiana and stepping off the boat right on the dock in Galveston. And we love the Western food that’s just part of being in Texas.
Food, you see, isn’t only about food. It’s not some big secret. It’s something that just happens when all of our interconnected families get together-the Carrabbas and the Mandolas, plus anybody with enough good sense to marry in. You may be poor, went the saying a mere generation ago, but you’ll never be hungry.
Food is part of us because that’s how we were raised; food was present at births, christenings, weddings, graduations, and funerals. Food is what reminded us we were family. To this day, whenever one family member meets another and starts talking about something or someplace, the first question has to be, “Whadya eat?”
Brian was awesome, we had a great experience! He made our night so enjoyable! We will come back to see him every time. And the Take home an entree for $10 is an amazing deal!
The bread and dipping oil was my favorite part of the meal. The food was fine but the waitress was so busy that after I asked her repeatedly for a glass of water she didn't bring it so I was without a drink for most of the meal. This location has a shortage of parking, so plan to go early to find a spot. This won't be at the top of the list for dinner anytime soon!
Great birthday dinner! The sangria Rita was delish. The bread, soup and salad was so yummy. We had a large party so the only downside was not enough silverware and also, the food runner didn’t give us cheese on our dishes but I know it was busy.
What a great restaurant! The Mezzaluna was flavorful and had the perfect amount of sauce. Amber was our waitress and she was very attentive. She made the entire experience a pleasure. We will ask for her next time we come in since we will definitely be back!
Had a wonderful dinner! Our waiter Brian, was incredible. He was attentive and kind. It’s been a long time since I’ve had a great dining experience. He encouraged their specials without being pushy and anticipated our needs throughout the entire meal. He was very considerate in bagging our left overs for us and even made sure to get our information for their rewards system. The food was delicious but Brian made our night!
