I ordered a large sweet and sour chicken. After I got home, I noticed there was no sweet and sour sauce. I tried calling but they were closed. I just called to let them know. I spoke with manager and explained there was no sauce for sweet and sour, she tells me she will credit the sauce. I said chicken was no good with no sauce. Thats not what I ordered. She again said that is their policy. She can only credit the sauce. I have been a regular customer for years and they lost my business. The customer service was beyond ridiculous. Beware!!! Check your bag before leaving.

The owner is extremely friendly and the food always were up to expectations. Me and my family order here often and it's honestly the best chinese food around here! The house fried rice is amazing and their chicken wings are a must try. I definitely recommend this restaurant for everyone to try.

The vegetable lo mein was very good, and the steamed pork dumplings with sauce were also enjoyable. Unfortunately, the bourbon chicken was terrible. It was extremely greasy, and the meat consisted of chewy, gamey-tasting chunks that were difficult to identify. My husband and I both tried it and could not even swallow the chicken—it was that unpleasant. We ended up not eating it at all. The quality of the chicken significantly detracted from our overall experience.

THE best value for the money withing 20 miles, easily. The food is fantastic, with amazing portions for takeout. Fried wontons and Chow Mei Fun are big standouts.

China Taste on Van Dyke is hands down one of the best local Chinese restaurants around! The food is always hot, fresh, and full of flavor. Every dish tastes made-to-order, with generous portions and great prices that make it an easy favorite for takeout nights.
Their egg drop soup is especially amazing — rich, comforting, and perfectly seasoned, with that classic silky texture that’s hard to get just right. It’s easily one of the best I’ve had anywhere. Pair it with their lo mein, sesame chicken, or fried rice and you’ve got a perfect meal.
The staff is friendly, quick, and always welcoming. Whether you call ahead or order in person, the service is fast and reliable, and your food is always ready when promised.
If you’re in the Lutz or Van Dyke area and craving great Chinese food, China Taste is a must-try. Delicious food, great service, and unbeatable consistency — definitely a five-star spot!
