We got the half rack, collards, mac and cheese and the banana pudding. Been here quite a few times but somehow never reviewed. The food and service are always TOP NOTCH. Delicious food by good people. The banana pudding HIT. The nilla wafers were still nice and crunchy too! Go get you some!

Best BBQ I’ve Ever Had – No Question!
I’ll admit, before visiting, I read a ton of reviews and thought, there’s no way this place is THAT good—maybe their family wrote all these reviews. But let me tell you, the moment I took my first bite, I knew. Every single review was legit.
The ribs? Absolutely fall-off-the-bone tender—so much so that I had one rib where I didn’t even see a bone left! The flavors were incredible, and every dish was on point. The baked beans, the greens, and let’s talk about the mac and cheese—hands down the best I’ve ever had. Period.
Beyond the food, the people here treat you like family. From the moment you step up, they make sure you’re taken care of and genuinely take pride in their service. That kind of hospitality is rare these days.
If you’re a BBQ lover, this is a must-visit spot. No questions, no second guesses—just go. You won’t regret it!

Here tucked away on a small vien road that works its way through Tarpon Springs is a gem. A BBQ spot known as DA SPOT. The smoke rising from the smoker fills the air, and the aroma makes your mouth water.
I have long been a fan of BBQ and especially the slow smoked version. So, I have high expectations from anyone who pits the effort (pardon the pun) to slow smoke meat in a smoker. The attention required to maintain the appropriate heat and smoke flavor. The patience to wait for its core temperature to rise above 220 degrees. These are the attributes of a true BBQ Chef.
I have sampled many BBQ smoked meat fooderies, and none have wowed me so much! The meat was tender and full of smokey good flavor, and the suace was so good you could just dip bread in and eat just like that!
At DA SPOT, i ordered the sausage, chicken, and ribs, and it was a hands down game changing! The flavor profile was major, and the meat was cooked perfectly.
Troy was a great host and served me fast and friendly. As a neighborhood spot he made me feel right at home with my order.
Five Stars for Flavor, portion size, for kind words and for knowing his customers by name. For some of the best BBQ sauces, I have had my close to 50 years. Five stars for the nostalgia that the aroma brings. And last of for Having some of the best smoked meat BBQ I have had in my life.

Absolutely DA SPOT to be. The food was well worth the trip. Will definitely be back. All of the sides were wonderful and you can't go wrong with a pulled pork sandwich. Thank goodness the banana pudding wasn't sold out because my goodness 😮💨

Easily would be five stars if the restaurant was in better condition. Would love to come inside and enjoy some food but the place isn’t in the best condition. Besides that, Food was amazing but there’s more to a restaurant than just food . I could see this place packed if the environment wasn’t like I’m visiting my great grandmas house in the hood.
