Wow! Hibachi Japanese Express is a hidden gem. They serve high-quality and delicious food one would expect from an upscale place but at much more reasonable prices. The hibachi and kitchen run continuously which shows how fresh their food is. These folks take great pride in their food and service, which are both exceptional.
5/5 overall, 5/5 food, 5/5 service.
The only 4/5 rating is for atmosphere. Hibachi Japanese Express is a fast-casual place with some wall decorations but not a huge investment in decor. Totally understandable given their focus of fast service and great food.
We will be back next time we come this way.

Quick lunch we ordered the special lunch,chicken. Food was served quickly and was good. But the seating area was not clean. The fountain drink station needed a good cleaning
top to bottom. In addition, the floor, booths and tables were dirty. Wouldn't go back there.

I WISH I READ THE REVIEWS BEFORE GOING HERE! STAY AWAY!
On 7/23 I visited Hibachi Express in Wesley Chapel. I ordered a Hibachi combo for dinner to go. When I got home, half of my order was missing. I called the young girl Renata working behind the counter. I explained that they had forgotten some of the food I ordered. Renata became irate, telling me that she had been working since 10 am and was tired. If I didn't get my food order it was tough on me because I should have double checked before leaving. Upon requesting a manager, Renata hung up on me. I called back and she was even more rude saying your not getting your food and that she has the right to refuse service and then hung up again. This is horrible customer service. I warn everyone to find somewhere else for your Hibachi food needs. Customer service like this should never be rewarded. They have lost my business especially when I was actually looking for a restaurant to cater a 50th birthday party. Thank you Renata for helping me to look elsewhere for my catering needs.
Hopefully a manager/supervisor reviews this. Many people are looking for jobs. You can find a much better person to represent your business as the front person who answers your phones and greets your customers. This girl is costing you a large financial loss in your business.

Ordered sushi, when it arrived it was warm (not a good sign) and had an extreme fishy smell along with tasting like it had been set out for a while, tossed the whole thing. Do not buy from here.

This is the worst location. Food is always over cooked, taste awful the chicken texture is like rubber and customer service is not good. I usually go to the Florida ave location even tho I live behind this one. The Florida ave location is worth the drive because the quality and customer service is great every time.
