Inn on the Gulf Restaurant – Hudson, FL
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Charming little spot right across from the water — love the small town feel! The clam chowder was absolutely amazing, and the sourdough bread served with it was perfect. We also had the fried grouper bites and the seafood trio platter (grouper, scallops, and shrimp), and everything was delicious. Our waitress, Lisa, was fantastic — super personable, friendly, and gave great suggestions. Will definitely be back!
There was also good parking for the restaurant.

Food was yummy. Clam chowder was fantastic along with the small loaf of sour dough bread. Lisa our waitress was great! We definitely would go back. Had the appetizer grouper fingers and broiled trio.

We finally got in to try it on a Thursday. We considered it on a weekend but it looked very busy. The inside was surprisingly quaint considering the exterior appeal but then again it’s a small fishing village.
Our server was great and we received excellent service. We started with a couple of adult beverages…Appletini and an Old Fashioned made with Eagles Rare. Surprisingly enough their bourbon selection was excellent as well as the rest of the beverage selections. We started with the shrimp cocktail appetizer which was fresh and the shrimp were colosal. We ordered the stuffed shrimp highly recommend as well as the shrimp scampi which was amazing. The bread and salads were equally delicious.
We decided on taking desert home and tried the Banana Ramalicious…wow!
Afterwards a brief little walk to checkout the departing fishing boats was pretty cool. If you’re looking for a cool, five star feel restaurant with a quaint little fishing village to walk around afterwards here you go.

I took my sister for an early Mother’s Day lunch last Friday and had the pleasure of having Lisa as our server. It was our first visit to Inn On The Gulf and she welcomed us and offered helpful descriptions of the specialty drinks and meals. We were very happy with our Bahama Mama and Sangria libations. Sissy opted for red clam chowder and I had the white and both were delicious. Our shrimp scampi was spot on and the lunch portion was perfect since we were not desirous of leftovers. Lisa was quite busy serving inside and out, but checked on us regularly to ensure we had a wonderful dining experience. We opted to eat inside and had a nice waterfront view. We will certainly return thanks to Lisa, the tasty food and overall atmosphere. Thank you!

The food was good and as advertised in the menu. We ate outside on the porch. Parking was adequate as it is summer. It could be a problem in the winter. My wife is in a walker and I have seen how the traffic and parking is during the high season. The only complaint I have is the size of the beer glasses. In all the restaurants I have been in these glasses win the prize for the smallest glasses I have ever seen in any restaurant. They were maybe 12 oz.
