First time experiencing Julian’s Little Italy in Dunedin & it definitely didn’t disappoint!!! Our server, Victoria was excellent!!! She helped us with menu recommendations which was awesome!! Order was taken quickly and food/drinks were served in a timely manner!! Everything from the appetizers, soups, entrees & desserts were very flavorful and plated nicely!! The entire restaurant is very quaint with nice lighting, decorated for Christmas and also has plenty of Italian themed decorations. Looking forward to visiting again!!! Highly recommend this restaurant!!! Kudos to the kitchen staff as well for a fantastic job in the food flavors and presentation!!!

Ed's Resturant Reviews - My wife and our son ate here for our first time. It was pretty good. Son really enjoyed his Vodka spaghetti. My wife's chicken Parmigiano was ok. Only issue was the checking was hard. I got the white pizza. Crust was very good it was just dident have the ricotta cheese that like on a white pizza. Over still pretty good giving then a 4 star

Nice little Italian restaurant. Been coming here for 30 years. Good food and quiet. Pizza excellent thin crust. The waiter/cook was a little too colorful for my liking in that he exudes a biker look but did fine and did not detract from the food or atmosphere. In the past, middle aged Italian women served as hostess. Waiter seemed a little varied as he was the only one waiting tables. Short staffed?

Finally tried this place after hearing mostly positive things about it. It’s a small restaurant with charming atmosphere. We started with the Bruschetta which I found tasty but slightly disappointing over the lack of any mozzarella mixed in with the tomatoes. It was tasty and the garlic bread was good. The antipasto salad was excellent and ample. I finished with veal Marsala which was disappointing. Huge portion of pasta and sauce and not a lot of veal. Also, the sauce was way over thickened with flour and had a cloudy look to it. I prefer olive oil, Marsala wine, garlic, etc..No flour! The pricing was weird and hard to understand as chicken, veal, and other meats are offered separately as an up charge. I’m giving four stars for the excellent service and atmosphere and I’ll return to give other dishes a try. Hopefully they don’t ruin piccata like they did Marsala!

We decided to try this restaurant when we were in the mood for some authentic Italian cuisine. We opted to share the chicken Parmigiana & lasagna, and let me tell you, we were not disappointed. And don't even get me started on the Italian wedding soup - it was easily one of the best I've ever had. The atmosphere of the restaurant was charming & cozy, adding to the overall dining experience. We left feeling extremely satisfied and would definitely recommend this gem to anyone looking for a delicious Italian meal.
