The bread is just delicious. My only complaint is, it's a lot of bread. It will definitely fill you up. Next time I'm going to ask for thinner slices.
Need to thinly slice like my husband likes. I don't particularly care for it that timely sliced but I love different kinds of sandwiches. Big Rich cookies can be found here as well.
This is take out only there is no sit down service here.
Very friendly staff. Located in a little strip mall towards the corner. I would not have expected this to be here.

After reading rave reviews we went to Lonnie's. I had their famous Sunny Bird and hubby had the roast beef on the rice bread. As others mentioned, the bread is too thick. My sandwich was sweet which I did not like. Hubby liked his roast beef. Also, being our first time here, we did not realize there was a 4% credit card fee. If we had known, we would have paid cash. It's a one and done for us. $26 for 2 sandwiches.

The Sunny Bird is amazing and their wild rice bread. I always take a loaf home, so good. I have been getting sandwiches there for over 17 years. When I’m in Dunedin it’s always one of my favorite stops!

I stopped in here for lunch while working a blue jays game after reading the reviews and I can't say enough good things! It is so hard to find places with sprouts anymore and I can't just describe how soft and heavenly their bread is!
I got the guacamole and sprouts with turkey and the portion is huge and the flavor is exquisite. I wish I lived within walking distance. I would get one every single day! And the women that work there are very friendly. You will not regret giving them a try!

The Sunny Bird is the best sandwich I have ever eaten! The staff is friendly and the food is to die for. I have been eating at this local gem for for over ten years, yet the quality exceeds my expectations every time.
Update: I finally branched out and tried something new: Curried Tropical Chicken Salad. It was mouth-wateringly delicious. I told the chef that I normally get a Sunny Bird and asked about the Curry Chicken. She encouraged me to try a sample and said she'd hate for anyone to buy a sandwich they didn't like. Moral of this update: don't be afraid to branch out, everything is amazing!
