Busy place! We waited for over an hour but it was well worth it! Food was great! We ordered the pickilia for starters and Grecian grouper, marides and octopus for our entree. The entire meal did not disappoint!

Probably the best Greek food I've had! The atmosphere received 4 stars only because the a/c vent leaked onto us as we were eating, but it's a very open welcoming place! Spanakopita (spinach pie) was crispy on the outside and filled with feta and spinach on the inside; it was perfect! Gyro was loaded with meat and Greek salad was huge and full of toppings. It was a but pricey in my opinion but the food was out of this world! Next time we are in Tarpon Springs, we will visit again.

They had a great ambiance. Sitting on the patio was pleasant. There are fans to cool you off and live music to entertain.
2 out of the 3 dishes I ordered were prepared poorly. The fried chicken sandwhich and the creamy pasta. The char broiled octopus was fantastic. They do need to scale back on the oil.
We struggled to get our drinks refilled and our waitress did not care about our experience. With all the other wonderful dining options around Tarpon, I will not return.

I recently visited Mama's restaurant on a busy Sunday afternoon for lunch and had a pleasant experience. The homey decor added to the cozy atmosphere, and I opted to sit outside where there were plenty of fans to keep me cool. The service was friendly, with our server being very helpful throughout the meal.
I decided to try the snapper fillet, which was delicious but a bit salty for my taste. I found that mixing in the tomatoes and onions that accompanied the dish helped balance out the saltiness. The Greek salad was a standout dish that I highly recommend, and the hummus served with the pita bread was also a hit. In fact, the pita bread was the best I've ever had - a must-try at Mama's!
Overall, I had a good experience at Mama's and would recommend it to others. I look forward to returning to try more of their dishes in the future.

Mama’s at the Sponge Docks is our favorite place to eat when in Tarpon Springs. Because we are local we have the opportunity to visit Tarpon Springs quite often; especially when family is visiting us from up north. We have been to all the eateries in Tarpon Springs and Mama’s is our number one choice. The service is always excellent and the food never disappoints. The atmosphere is simple, but we love the live music on Fridays and Saturdays. Every item on the menu is delicious. I always get Marides (smelts) because I won’t cook fried foods or fish in my house. Being Greek, I know what the foods should taste like and I have to say, 99.9% of the time it tastes like it came from your own kitchen!
Highly recommend and visit the front entrance of the Sponge Exchange on Dodecanese Blvd to get your coupons for Mama’s dining.
