It’s been awhile since I’ve reviewed this Panera, and today was an unusually bad turned good visit. I tried to order via the app, but my rewards didn’t show up. So instead, I went to the register to order. At the register, Megan was very sweet & efficient. She took my order, and then got the manager to help her use my reward. Bryan said the app was down across the country, and that they were doing their best to help patrons. He applied my reward. I was thrilled! And it helped that I had the email, showing my reward. My food was delicious, as usual. The chicken & rice soup was good & hot, the chicken salad sandwich was tasty & fresh, and the chai latte was perfect. I enjoyed eating and socializing with my girlfriend in a side booth. It’s a comfortable, happy place to met and talk!

Panera Bread is the one restaurant that I am happy to sit by myself The employees are always helpful, and even comforted me when I had seen friends that spoke about my late husband, and I was crying. I love their unlimited coffee for $8.99 a month, and sometimes it’s only coffee, coffee and a toasted blueberry bagel, or a lunch with a 99 cent bakery item. I love their broccoli cheese soup, fresh salads, sandwiches, and either a blueberry scone, warm with butter, or the bear claw. Love the almond filling. It’s not cheap but if you have the app, they send you offers, and discounts.

This is my first bad experience at Panera, but bad enough for me to hunt for the review page. We went today, a cold rainy afternoon, to have a cup of hot tea and a warm cinnamon bun. I noticed right away that the bakery counter was dirty with crumbs and didn't look like it had been wiped all day. No worries though, it's just food crumbs. It will be yummy. When I leaned into the coffee/tea counter to get a cup and teabag, a heavy particle board cabinet door was unknowingly completely off it's hinges and fell on the top of my foot. It hurt like crazy but I couldn't find a worker to report it to first. We sat down to enjoy our snack, but the bun was hard and stale. Before we left I went to the food pickup area to ask for the manager. I told her about the cabinet door and she laughingly said, " Oh that door falls all the time!" With an eye roll. I let her know that it was extremely painful for my foot and that they needed to remove it completely if it's loose until they get it fixed. She acted irritated, and as I turned to walk away I noticed how filthy the ovens were. The cabinet door had been carefully placed back where it belonged unfixed, so that the same thing will happen to the next short person who tries to reach for a tea bag. The whole experience felt not ok. I think my swollen foot will help me remember not to return to that location.

We waited a really long time for our food and then they forgot to make my bagel and cream cheese by the time they finally prepared it. The other people in my party had already finished their meal and they had to sit and wait for me to finish. The prices are going up. The portions are going down and they stopped making the chocolate chip bagel which is ridiculous because it was one of their best sellers

We walked in for a simple coffee and pastry to enjoy while having a conversation. The person who met us was unkempt and quite dismissive of us. I ordered a no foam mocha latte whole milk I was told that you do not have chocolate or whole milk. A coffee house without whole milk. We ordered 2 bagels toasted and with cream cheese we waited and waited until finally someone yelled at me to get our food. They had thrown four pieces of burnt bagel, a napkin and a single knife all on top of two cups of cream cheese and the latte was as with the coffee undrinkable. The bagels were not served in any way sanitary. The drinks were half full and I paid $25 for that. I will not be having another date or meeting at Panera. What coffee house doesn't have cocoa and milk. And the managers only reply is there has been a menu change
