The views will always be the heart and soul of this place. I loved coming here as a girl after a Howard beach day. Guess the new owners do not pride themselves on quality. My server was super sweet but the appetizer and entree was mediocre. You could tell the kitchen staff lacks quality to send out plates that look repulsive. No solid chips, all broken and drenched in grease, fish spread had way too much Mayo. The grouper dinner was slimy on top of overly oiled spinach and dry rice. Very disappointed with my dining experience. Everything was too greasy and oily or dry. The server and views were the best part of the experience✨ WORST part of my experience: the food 🤢

Great view on Lake Tarpon. Indoor / Outdoor seating, although beware of mosquito 🦟 & 'noseeums' @Sunset in particular. Great service provided by Natalie, who was juggling tables inside & out. Great service attitude! Table of 8 after golf ⛳️ outing. Alligator bowl 🥣 was abundant - freshly cut red peppers, sautéed onions 🌰, red beans 🫘 over Spanish rice, 2 grilled Plantains and deliciously tender Alligator 😋 bites. Very busy inside & out. Great Bar as well - both inside & outside. Boat docks on Lake Tarpon. Plenty of parking.

This place was fabulous. We ate outdoors and the views and service were incredible. There was no wait at 6pm on a weekday evening. There were only 2 of us but there was a little wait for larger parties. It's moderately priced. We paid $55 for two of us.
PRO-TIP: If key lime pie is your thing, get it!!! It was amazing.

It was great returning back to the Tarpon Turtle. This was one of our more frequented places when we had our lake boats over the years. We obviously came by car this time and sat outside lakeside.
Everything from the ambiance, views, service and food was awesome. Our server was super friendly and accommodating, we had the bowls which were delicious, very well made and presentation was spot on.
We will definitely be coming back as we travel to and from. You don’t need a boat on the lake to visit this place but if you want the experience just launch at the nearby park…you’ll love it.

Well we finally tried the Tarpon Turtle, when we first arrived it was after lunch and figured the wait wouldn't be bad. Well the parking lot was packed and we both said we'll maybe not today, but as fait would have it we got a spot in the last row. Upon entering we asked how long for a party of 3, she replied about 45 minutes, so we put our name on the list, 22 minutes later we were seated. Our server Justin was a very nice and likeable guy and did a fantastic job. We ordered fried pickles as an appetizer hot and delicious, I ordered the Cuban Sandwich and I have to say I was very impressed by it, our daughter ordered a grilled cheese and my wife ordered she crab soup and a wedge salad. Everything was as it should be and the fries were delicious with my sandwich. We will definitely be back, and the atmosphere is extremely relaxing!!! And yes they have a very nice kids menu 😋
