We finally got a neighborhood Thai place! It’s only a few miles from home and located at the same plaza as our local Aldi’s & Great Catch.
Prices are very reasonable. Excellent menu. This was our first visit. I ordered a Massaman Curry with fried eggplant and a Thai tea. My wife went with her favorite, Panang curry…our test of whether or not we like a Thai restaurant. Our meal came with a cup of vegetable broth & and a fried spring roll. Everything came out perfect and quickly. To be honest, it was 2:15 in the afternoon and there were only a couple of tables filled. The curries were delicious and the tea excellent. We’re happy they’re close by, we plan on visiting often.

I’ve ordered from Thai Cafe Modern several times now, and I can honestly say they have never disappointed me. Every single experience has been consistently amazing, both in terms of flavor and quality. It’s rare to find a place that maintains such a high standard across multiple orders, but this restaurant absolutely delivers every time.
One dish that really stands out is the Thai fried rice combo. It is incredibly delicious—perfectly seasoned, full of flavor, and cooked just right. The balance of ingredients is spot on, with each bite tasting fresh and satisfying. You can tell that care goes into the preparation, from the texture of the rice to the richness of the overall dish.
What I love most is the consistency. Whether it’s my first order or my fifth, the food always arrives tasting just as great as I remember. That kind of reliability makes it easy to keep coming back.
If you’re looking for flavorful, high-quality Thai food that you can count on, Thai Cafe Modern is definitely worth trying. It has quickly become one of my go-to spots, and I’m sure I’ll be ordering from here many more times.

I door dashed the mango sticky rice because I was craving a sweet mango dessert.. such a disappointment, that was enough to tell me that I won’t be eating at this restaurant, the rice was so stiff and there was no cream! Who sells dry sticky rice?

Love the fact they have an option for Brown Rice although its the same Chinese restaurant type Brown Rice all the others have. Still a nice Touch.
The Paid Thai -
Ordered it Spicy. Was not too spicy. Taste was on point. Was delicious actually. My only complaint was the lack of Chicken and lack of Vegetables. Taste wise, one of the best in the area. Would prefer a side of Thai Hot Pepper Seeds with it. Should of asked. Very Tasty Noodles also.
Pineapple Curry (Chicken) -
Ordered Medium, was too spicy for my wife (She's a light weight) but she LOVED it.
Amazing (Beef) -
Ordered Mild. Was VERY VERY VERY Peanuty. My wife thought a bit too much so. I rather enjoyed it.
Dumplings -
Different. Small Portion. Tasty Dipping Sauce that was better then Traditional Chinese Style Side Sauce. The Dumpling was VERY Tasty but VERY Small. Portion Size was underwellming.
Volcano Meatballs -
NO. These didn't taste very good to me.
All in all, there are not a lot of good Thai options north of Tampa. This one was pretty good and will be our Uber Eats Thai go to for now.

The modern Thai ambiance, combined with the warm hospitality, made for a delightful evening.Food Highlights:Yum Woonsen (Glass Noodle Salad): This dish was a refreshing blend of textures and flavors. The glass noodles were perfectly cooked, and the salad was bursting with fresh herbs and a zesty lime dressing. It was a great start to the meal, light yet flavorful.Calamari: The calamari at Silk & Spice was outstanding. Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, it was served with a delicious dipping sauce that complemented the dish perfectly. The seasoning was just right, making it one of the best calamari dishes I've had.Tom Yum Soup: The Tom Yum was the star of the meal. Rich and flavorful, with a perfect balance of spicy and sour, it was packed with fresh shrimp and mushrooms.
