Grew up in Massachusetts, bay side. I've been in florida for over 10 years now and this place i just found. It's wicked awesome lol has onion rings in the same style good days in West Bridgewater had and the fried scallops bring me back to living in onset getting fried seafood. This place has earned a customer for years to come.

I haven't had a bad experience yet!!! I've come twice. I live out of state and stumbled across this restaurant by chance and have talked about to my family and friends. Phenomenal food, friendly staff, quite place to watch sports what more can you ask for? They have daily specials.

Dinner was fantastic. This was our first time eating here and we will definitely return. My husband and I both had the Fisherman's Platter and let me tell you it was more than enough for one person and if you have a little smaller appetite 2 people could possibly share. The portions were ample and I came home with leftovers.
Our server Sue was friendly and quick with drink refills.

First of all, forget the lack of “curb appeal” of The Great Catch at its previous location farther up the road. Their move to Sunset Plaza in January is a game changer. They’re now at US 41 at Sunset Lane in Lutz, next to where Winn Dixie was and now Aldi is on its way. You now have a traffic light to keep you safer! Far-better appearances and comfort aside, the food and service are outstanding. Make no mistake, they don’t serve health food here, but if you’re seeking guilty pleasures, The Great Catch delivers like the devil himself. Laura, our server (says manager on the receipt), knew the menu inside out and came fully prepared to ensure our satisfaction. She continued to check on us, never leaving us wanting. Want half fried whole-belly clams and half fried oysters? No problem. Yes, you want the fried onion rings. Yes, the hushpuppies here are great (that’s real kernels of corn you see). I know it’s only Cole slaw, but their recipe may be the holy grail of cabbage. Need more tartar sauce, got it. Really, I could not reasonably ask more from a restaurant. I’m not from New England, so I can’t speak (literally) as they would, so I’m sure some disgruntled northerner might take exception with me, but I don’t know where else to send you for food like this. I will caution that the portions are generous, making sharing an option to consider (I’m no small eater and we still had to request to-go boxes to bring food home). Will I go back? Yes, absolutely, but maybe I’ll seek out some healthier options. Or maybe I won’t. Bottom line: Yes, you should try The “new” Great Catch, and as their popularity grows (especially after the new Aldi opens), you may have to expect a wait to get a table (which is a good problem I wish for them).

I have to say that each time I have been here it gets better and better! The lobster roll…let me just tell you…the bread was perfectly toasted. The lettuce was fresh, and the lobster…wow! The chunks of lobster were so much and so big, some pieces took more than one bite! They definitely don’t skimp on the lobster! It was perfect! Simple, which I appreciate more because I want to taste the lobster, not a bunch of other seasonings and sauces! Our server was amazing! I know what I’m getting next time 😃
